My darling wife, we are going through a tough time right now, and that’s okay because such is life. I admit that I can be stubborn, but please know that I love you deeply. We’re both passionate, and sometimes that passion gets in the way of truly feeling each other’s love. But just like any other day – you are still on my mind. And even on the hardest days, you are on my mind. I can’t count how many times I’ve checked my phone, just to see your text message icon or to see if a text message was from you.
If you look up the word struggle, you’ll find plenty of different definitions that describe its meaning. I found that the following best suits us in this moment – and pretty much describes what relationships might face: a determined effort under difficulties. Even under our difficulties, I want to continue pouring effort into us because I love you.
I believe our love is stronger than the current struggle we face. I know it, and so do you. When we’re in sync, our love feels perfectly tuned – harmonious – and our lives just flow naturally. But like every river sometimes we hit a rock and that’s okay because it’s natural – it’s part of the journey. But this is promise: I’ll struggle for the rest of my life, as long as you’re the person I’m struggling with. I’d rather struggle with you, I’d rather you be mad at me, then not have you by my side – as my wife, and as my friend.
I am determined to put in effort under our difficulties! I love you!
With love,
Your husband – Rick Zamarron.
